Dear Member/Supporter:
2 Corinthians 3:18 – “And we all through unveiled faces contemplate the glory of the Lord are being transformed into His image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord which is the Spirit.”
These days everywhere we look, we are bombarded with negative news, the world seems to have gone crazy. As I was reading the above text, I was reminded that we should not keep our focus on this world but rather keep our focus on what we hope for and look forward too, so I went to the following and immediately, my mind began to transform from the constant negative to my hope. Let’s take a moment to contemplate that which draws us up to Christ and His infinite love.
“Soon appeared the great white cloud, upon which sat the Son of man. When it first appeared in the distance, this cloud looked very small. The angel said that it was the sign of the Son of man. As it drew nearer the earth, we could behold the excellent glory and majesty of Jesus as He rode forth to conquer. A retinue of holy angels, with bright, glittering crowns upon their heads, escorted Him on His way. No language can describe the glory of the scene. The living cloud of majesty and unsurpassed glory came still nearer, and we could clearly behold the lovely person of Jesus. He did not wear a crown of thorns, but a crown of glory rested upon His holy brow.
Upon His vesture and thigh was a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. His countenance was as bright as the noonday sun. His eyes were a flame of fire, and His feet had the appearance of fine brass. His voice sounded like many musical instruments. The earth trembled before Him, the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
Those who a short time before would have destroyed God’s faithful children from the earth, now witnessed the glory of God which rested upon them. And amid all their terror they heard the voices of the saints in joyful strains, saying, “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us.” (EW 286-287)
Brothers and sisters of WCMC church, let us not set our eyes on things that cannot save and allow the negative things happening around us steal our joy. Rather, together, let us keep our eyes on Jesus! May we all be among those who look on this this scene with joy and exclaim, “Lo this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us.” Let us contemplate on the glory of our Lord and allow Him to transform us into His very image.

Sabbath Offering - Local Church Budget - May 16, 2020
Yes, we can. Yes, we should! A couple of years ago, The Compass Magazine had an interesting article about tithe and offerings. The article noted that in 2017, close to 1.02 billion dollars were given in tithe in the NAD. There was more interesting statistical data: one-third of “active” Adventist members did not return a tithe. Young people and old alike “neglected” to be faithful in returning a tithe to the Lord. Why didn’t they give? The reason was not theological. It was not pastor-related (whether they liked or disliked the pastoral service). Believe it or not, it was simply a case of forgetfulness. People just plain forgot to pay their tithe.
Another subset of the same demographic noted that “they needed to tithe more regularly.” The Bible concurs. We can, and we should remember to pay an honest tithe to our God. It is estimated that if most active Adventists would return an honest tithe, our annual income would easily double to $2 billion.
Let us make a new covenant with our Lord to be faithful and return a faithful tithe to Him. Yes, we can, and yes, we should!

We Dare You to Join BRIDGE
In March the Youth and Young Adult department started a multi-platform, virtual community called BRIDGE. It is an expanding movement connecting young adults with God, each other, and their local communities through a website and social media platforms. There are many collegiate/young adults who are already involved in ministry or are searching for ways to be involved. BRIDGE connects these young adults with others and helps provide resources to support their ministry. Blogs, Vlogs (Video Blogs), social media posts, and virtual small groups are all being utilized within the community to promote relational connection and spiritual growth. On the website at www.bridgenw.org and associated social media sites, you'll find a growing list of people in BRIDGE community who are involved in ministry. We dare you to join them.

Getting More Light
“God will not give His Spirit to those who make no use of the heavenly gift. But those who are drawn out of and away from themselves, seeking to enlighten, encourage, and bless others will have increased ability and energy to expend. The more light they give, the more they receive.”
Southern Watchman, Oct. 31, 1905

that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
